A game night that basically runs itself

Turn your
slow night into
game night

Spellmates turns any TV into a multiplayer spelling game your whole venue can play. Guests join from their phones, the game reads the words, keeps score and runs the rounds — no quizmaster or app required.

More reasons to stay. More rounds at the bar. Almost no work for your team.

So simple

You put it on the TV.
They do the rest.

Your staff keeps serving. Spellmates keeps the room playing.

What game night actually looks like

From joining on a phone to the letters landing on the big screen — one whole round, end to end.

Steps one to three: everyone joins on their phone with the game code, the TV shows whose turn it is, and that player goes up front and taps Reveal Word.Steps four to six: the word appears on the TV for everyone except the speller, who is turned around; they say or type it on their phone, and the board shows which letters were right.

FAQ

Questions?
We got you.

What do I need to run Spellmates at my venue?+

A screen, a laptop to cast from, and wifi your guests can use. If you can put a match on, you can run this.

Do I need to hire a host or quizmaster?+

No, and that is the main difference from a pub quiz. The board reads each word aloud, moves itself on when a turn ends and keeps the scores. Nothing to print, nothing to mark, nobody tied to a microphone.

How long does one game fill?+

Roughly 15 to 25 minutes depending on how many are playing. Leave the code on screen and games run back to back, so an evening fills itself without anyone announcing anything.

How many people can play?+

Up to 100 in one room — a full bar. Everyone not playing still watches the screen, which is where most of the noise comes from.

Does it work on any TV or projector?+

Yes. It is a browser tab, so anything you can cast or AirPlay to will show it — TV, projector or a monitor behind the bar.

Can I try it before paying?+

Yes. Run a night on the free tier and see whether anybody stays for another round before you spend anything.
